About Duddingston Golf Club

Established in 1895, Duddingston Golf Club is widely regarded as one of the most outstanding parkland courses in the Lothians. The challenging layout is a 'must play' for anyone visiting Scotland. Facilities include a recently refurbished Clubhouse, Bar & Restaurant, and a fully stocked Pro Shop complete with state-of-the-art indoor Golf Simulator / SW:ING Studio and PuttView system.

Originally designed by Willie Park Jr. and updated by James Braid, the course is nestled amidst the Duke of Abercorn's deer park at the foot of Arthur's Seat, only 10 minutes from Edinburgh City Centre. The meandering Braid Burn is a key feature.

Duddingston Golf Club has many links with Scotland’s rich history including the 1745 Battle of Prestonpans, when Bonnie Prince Charlie’s army were encamped on the land; and the course itself is overlooked by Craigmillar Castle, home of Mary, Queen of Scots, whose French followers settled alongside in Little France. 

Duddingston's clubhouse offers first class facilities to members and visitors: Our "Shades" function suites are available for hire and provide a wonderful setting in which to celebrate any special event. Our award-winnings chefs are always on hand to ensure that every occasion is a "special" occasion at Duddingston.
